Hello everyone! My name is Marcell Firan, a young BMX rider from Budapest. I was born on January 8, 2016, and I discovered the world of BMX at a very young age (7 years old). This sport is not only my passion but also one of the most important parts of my life so far. My first “BMX” video was made on February 12, 2023, at Óhegy Park when I was just 7 years old. Even back then, I felt that this was what I truly loved doing.
In my seventh year, marked by initial clumsiness, I made tremendous progress. As a member of the Velvart BMX School (Forestramps team), I train regularly and always strive to bring my best performance. I have participated in numerous bike-related competitions, earning a total of 15 medals. However, the event that best matched my style was the national championship held in 2024 at the Factory Arena in Miskolc in the Freestyle BMX category. This was an incredible experience for me, not only because of the competition itself but also because I had the chance to meet other talented BMX riders.
Social media plays an essential role in my journey as a BMX rider. Through platforms like Instagram and YouTube, I share my progress, tricks, and competition highlights with others who love BMX as much as I do. I draw inspiration from professional riders worldwide, whose creativity and skill motivate me to push my limits and improve every day.
Connecting with the BMX community online has also helped me gain valuable feedback, discover new techniques, and make friends who share the same passion. For me, it’s not just about riding but about being part of something bigger—an inspiring and supportive community that celebrates our love for the sport.
I actively share my BMX adventures on my Instagram account (@marcellfiran). I love uploading photos and videos from training sessions, competitions, and tricks because it allows me to inspire others. For me, BMX is not just a sport but also a form of self-expression. My greatest joy comes from encouraging other young people to take up BMX through what I do.
That’s why I’m focusing on creating a YouTube channel where I’ll showcase tricks and bike components in the future.
I’ve had many experiences so far, but one of my most memorable moments was when I landed the step-up 360° trick at the Factory Arena in Miskolc. It was a challenge I had been dreaming of accomplishing for a long time, and when I finally succeeded, the feeling was incredible. I’m deeply grateful to the leadership of Velvart BMX School and the Crazy Action Team for their support in making it happen!

For me, BMX is not just a hobby, but a lifestyle. Every training session and competition is a step toward progress. I know there’s still a lot to learn, but I can’t wait to face new challenges. My goal is to take my performance to higher levels and visit places I’ve never been before, following the Junkride Freestyle Park in Slovakia and the track in Austria.
To achieve these goals and to finance the construction of a BMX track in the future, we are setting up an online store (BMXs.hu), the foundations of which we started to lay in 2024.
BMX has become an integral part of my life, and I am grateful for every moment I’ve spent on my bike. The journey so far has been full of hard work, dedication, and growth, but it’s only the beginning. I’m excited for the challenges that lie ahead and the opportunity to continue sharing my passion with others. I want to thank everyone who has supported me along the way—my family, coaches, teammates, and all the people in the BMX community. Together, we are creating something special, and I’m looking forward to what the future holds. Stay tuned for more adventures, and remember: with passion, perseverance, and a little bit of BMX, anything is possible!
